IAP Scholars

I'm just wondering if there are any other Incentive Award Scholars out there. I won the scholarship because I was first alternate and the girl who got it decided to go to Columbia so I'm confused on how it works. She waited until the last minute to make her decision so she got to attend all the IAP events. Can anyone just elaborate more on when we get the money (or how), what events we have to take part in (outreach things I hear), and any other information that can be provided. Thanks!

you basically dont have to do anything since she already attended all the events for u i supposed. but there is a requirement list u will get during the IAP overnight hosting program. If u wish, i can make a copy for you. It has detail explanation of all the requirements u have to do.

I was the alternative also, but sadly the person who won it is attending and will keep the $32,000.

cal_diva -- speak to your IAP coordinator.
There is a Orientation that happens later on... a couple of years ago it was a retreat with a ropes course i think.
