AP Credit for early graduation?

Hi,

I'm interested in taking AP exams in order to graduate early from Cal (College of Letters and Science). I checked the website but it wasn't clear whether I can or can't use AP credit to graduate early.

Cal says that 3s on AP Exams "help" in admission. Do they?

Thank you so much!

Like I tell others, this board for 2012 gets VERY few visitors and even fewer posts. I would recommend you post the same question on the general UC Berkeley discussion, which gets a LOT of viewers. They also have a lot of older students who have gone through your ordeal. One person posted a question here and the only post was I. He followed my advice of posting on the general discussion and from my memory I think he got like 20 posts. By the way many graduate and professional schools don’t like early graduates because they think that they did not gain the whole school experience and just zipped through college in order to graduate early.

Do you have any proof of that last sentence, viromonkey?

Yes, you can definitely use APs as elective credit to graduate early, assuming you have enough of them.
