Hey Guys,
I'm Undeclared L&S and Berkeley has been my top choice since about... forever? I guess I'm obligated to go check out UCLA too though, eh.
I'd love to send in my SIR right now, if my parents wouldn't just murder me for doing it it before i've checked out every place.

Boom, baby!
I'm from the East Bay, and I know Berkeley pretty well. I'm probably gonna be doing Philosophy as my major.
Congrats to everyone!!

Hey guys! I'm from sandiego. I'm a mid-east studies major but I want to change to IR, econ or Arabic. I'm really into tricking and the martial arts (particularly Wushu and Taekwondo). Don't know how else to describe myself.

str8shot, I don't think Cal has an IR major. Is it offered under a different name?
Anyway, I live 45ish minutes north of Berkeley, and will hopefully do econ or political science.

hey guys! Congratulations to all! Hopefully, if i decide to go then I would see you there. the thing is, I'm an international student from Jordan, and I am planning to do medicine. With that being said, there are so many drawbacks, after pre med, from slim chances of being accepted to the expenses! The other better alternative (away from america or canada) would be to do my pre med and med in Cornell Qatar, If you guys haven't heard about it then check it out. Basically It's a six year med program, which is an exact replica of that in NY, It would be much easier for me to get a scholarship or loan and to get to med school, simply because Im an international student. Only, It's Berkeley that I would be turning away from... i don't know what to do...

Hey, I'm also from the East Bay here, an undecided major in L&S. I'll probably major in something useless and profitless...not telling my parents yet. ;D
I've spent every summer since I graduated from middle school taking classes on the Berkeley campus...and live about 20 minutes from campus, so I'm kind of weirded out that I'm seriously considering attending. Anyone else feel that Berkeley will feel too familiar?
lala91, I really like Berkeley. Sure, it has a lot of homeless people walking around, but it really feels like a college town -- tons of nice food, four movie theaters. Besides the college apartments, most of the houses in the neighborhoods near campus are for high-income folks. Professor-type people and their families. It's West Oakland south of campus that's a lot more shady...not so sure about West Berkeley.

@jquin:
I got into EECS, but I am way more interested in CS than EE, so I am just curious how much EE stuff I have to do? lol. Should I just switch to CS?
