Interviewing UCB Students for Newspaper

Hello, I will be interviewing students for my school's journalism class. The questions are all the same and will be limited to 6 per person. The questions are as follows:
1. How often did you study?
2. How many hours a night would you spend on homework?
3. What kind of things did you do outside of school?
4. What resources did you use in order to do well?
5. How did you become a good student?
6. What advice would you give to students aspiring into get into your college?

You can either post replies here, or message them to me. Please include your first name, and the college which you currently attend. If you do not want your name used, I will simply make one up in its place.

Thank you very much to all who help!

1. Honestly, never. I went to a low-performing art school where creative excellence outweighed academic. I studied quite a bit for my community college courses I took outside of high school to make up for no AP classes. Some like 4 hours a month.
2. I did all homework on the weekends which basically consisted of essays.
3. Art, lots of printmaking and silkscreening.
4. The internet is definitely a staple of research to do well.
5. I think genetics has a lot to do with being a good student along with the home environment.
6. Be diverse, think outside the box, perfect your application. Do not limit yourself within the confines of your high school.
