Concerns regarding choosing courses~

Hi everybody, this is my first post~
My name is amelia wong, chinese canadian, lived in beijing for the past ten years~
because of travel arrangements, i wont be attending calso, so i have a few questions regarding electing courses~
oh actually, more importantly, i also want to know, do IB results affect my admission offer? or is it only high school final transcript? cuz im pretty sure i slacked off and didnt do well on my final IB exam...thoughts?

next, i took IB math higher level, i dont know what i got yet, but what grade do i need to earn credits? also does having those credits mean i can skip certain math courses?
i also took IB econ higher level, im pretty confident im gonna get a 6 or 7, so how does that affect which course i should choose? do i still have to take intro econ?

sorry if i dont sound very coherent, im severely sleep deprived...

cant wait to hear from you all Thanx~

Hey Amelia,

This might be a little late, but I know you can definitely get out of a few classes with high IB/AP scores, Math 1A/1B for example if you scored well. And a low IB score will not affect your admissions, so don't worry.
As for Intro to Econ, all the advisers at Calso suggested us freshmen not to take Econ 1, since you would be stuck with upper classmen who are just more experienced and you might end up with a bad grade. Try to take an alternative intro course.

So there you go. Hope that helped. My name is Frank Lu. I'm also a Chinese Canadian! But I lived in San Francisco for the past 5 years. See you at Cal =)
