Hearing back for EA

So on their website, BC says that us lovely early applicants will hear back "by December 25". Well that's fabulous, but there's no mail on Dec 25--Christmas! And this year, dec 24 is a sunday, so no mail then either. will they really wait until dec 23 to have it sent? that's not so nice. perhaps if a current student who was an early applicant can comment on when they heard back last year?

If you look back at the EA decision thread, people last year started hearing ~13-15th.

BC mails out their EA acceptances (and deferrals and denials ) in batches over 3-4 days. Our D got her acceptance several days after other classmates received theirs, so she was very nervous, thinking they were sending out the good news first, and then the bad--which wasn't the case! I think everyone knew by Dec. 20th that year (she is a senior now--and loves it!!!!)

9 kids applied for class of 2010 from my D's small independent day school...2 boys heard right away that they were rejected, the others trickled in with no rhyme or reason...my d1 applied ea and was deferred, 4 classmates got in, 3 attend now...my d1's grandfather, aunt and uncle all grad. from BC and it did not help one bit...not sure what her weak link was, she is now at Conn...I wish you all best of luck, it was very stressful, especially during the holidays...Her classmates heard on a Sat. & we had to wait for Monday mail!
Her final answer came in late June after applying early in Nov.....oy vey

i think the case is that we'll definitely hear by the 15th but they are just saying 25th.
