I got waitlisted and I am going to accept it. But it is weird that I got my decision in the mail and my twin brother didn't. Shouldn't we have gotten it at the same time?

3 of my friends recieved letters from bc on saturday. i still have nothing in today's mail and we live in the same city. i called the admissions office to see if they could see if mine has been mailed and the lady said that she did not have access to the information, but that not ALL of the letters have been mailed.

how many other people have not gotten letters even though other people in their area have??

in the mean time, Wake Forest is looking better and better because they actually cared enough to let me know whether or not i got in...

How could the not mail ALL of the letters? What letters haven't been mailed yet rejections? Waitlisted? Accepted? Still waiting to hear in Missouri!

One way to find out which I think is pretty accurate is to log on to Agoura:

agora.bc.edu/login/menu

If you have a link to "Enrollment Confirmation and Room Guarantee Fees" you are admitted. I haven't heard of anyone having this link who was rejected or waitlisted.

[ *] ACT: 34
[ *] GPA: 3.82 unw/4.41 w
[ *] Rank: 14/768
[ *] Other stats: 4 AP scores of 5, plus 5 AP's & Calc III this year
[ *]Subjective:
[ *] Essays: Well-written, if a bit boring (About love of books)
[ *] Teacher Recs: Only saw supplement, which was great
[ *] Counselor Rec: Boilerplate...huge public HS, only had GC for sr. year
[ *] Hook (if any): Nope
[ *] Location/Person:
[ *] State or Country: Illinois
[ *] School Type: Public
[ *] Ethnicity: White
[ *] Gender: Female
[ *] major strength/weakness: Strong academics
[ *] why you think you were accepted/rejected/defered: Strong academics
[ *] Other Factors: Not in the least little bit religious...obviously it's not necessary
[ *] going to attend? I'm not sure yet, but I don't think so. I got into Carleton, Wellesley, and NYU Honors Program (w/ $), so I'm leaning towards deciding between the three, but I think I'll still visit BC and see.

I called BC an hour ago as my D hasn't heard anything at all. They are still mailing letters, they were sent on Wed, Thurs, Fri. The kind lady reported she was still folding letters. So, it could be days...... I'll email her the agora info and see if she has the guts to look, I don't, I'm sensing bad news here.

Congrats advantagious!!! That's great!!!

And flylikeapenguin: Wake is great, you can't go wrong!

Aah sadness, no links for my D on Agora. Hopefully it's a pity waitlist, but that would be 3/3 of her top choices, all but one of which she met/exceeded the stats for. She's into 5 other good to great schools, so it's not really a problem, just disappointing. She seems Ok. Guess we won't be so anxious about the next few days' mail. :-(

Congrats to all who are going to this great school, enjoy!

hm... well I have the links. Either way, this whole situation just seems so stupid that it is a big turn off for Boston College itself. Why on earth wouldn't they just send all the letters out at once? I think it is honestly one of the stupidest things that I have ever heard. If the rest of the school operates at all like the admissions office does, count me out!

(thanks sdmom and AdvisorMom)

Nothing in GA either. Are we the only ones still in limbo?
