I have a question about the teacher evaluations; I know BC requires 2, but do they both have to be strictly written by core class teachers? I'm applying to the studio art major, and though I have my current English teacher writing one of my recs, I'd really like it if either my graphics, art or journalism teacher could write the other one. Is this allowed?
All I read on their website were "two teachers who recently taught you". I sort of broke that rule and used a ninth grade teacher for one of the recs, but I've been in consistent contact with him throughout high school and know him better than any other...
It makes sense for you to send an art one because of your major. I say do it. art will become your core area for college so your work in high school art would matter more than the average applicant. I don't know, it seems logical, but with college apps you never know.
