p2p software?

How strict is BC on using p2p software?

they aren't very strict; however, if the government finds out you are using p2p, yoou'll most likely get fined for some amount of money.

im not sure about how strict BC is.. but ive heard most p2p softwares work REALLY slow here. i know it takes forever for me to use bittorrent files and i really only downlaod when i have to because i feel like theres a bigger chance of getting "caught" here than at home

I use Limewire for my torrent downloads among other things. It works fine. I haven't heard anyone busted by Uncle Sam, yet.

limewire goes really quickly. depending on the number of hosts, i can hit up to about 600kb/s maybe even higher, but my torrenting speed is really slow, about 6kb/s

my friends brother goes to bc, he downloaded like 2 movies a day or something and got put on probation and wasnt allowed on the bc network for 6 months or something

^Ouch. They weren't "unclean" movies were they That sort of thing happens if you over used the server. My cable company doesn't allow me to go over a limit (it's really high, you have to dl 2 big movies a day or something). Your friend's brother was probably hogging too much bandwidth.
