AP score availability and course planning?

My orientation session is scheduled the end of the month which is prior to knowing all my AP class scores. During the orientation I think I meet with an advisor to plan first year courses, how does this work? Depending on the scores I was planning to perhaps skip by a couple introductory courses to make room for something more interesting.

I am currently in CSOM, and students are placed in groups of about 7 with a current professor to discuss planning courses and discuss any reservations the students may have. Unfortunately, the professors may not be as knowledgeable as you would hope. The next day is the actual day for signing up for classes. You can always sign up for the introductory classes and then switch up your classes once you find out your scores via student services or through BC's uis.
