I sat across from Jennifer in the FA department one week ago and she told me to my face that BoCo does not give need-based aid. They offered a small student loan and a small work-study.

Transferring to BoCo

I have just completed my 2nd year at one of the major MT programs, however I have been disappointed with the musical component of my training. I love my school in many ways, but I feel it has offered me all it can, so I am ready to move on to a school that can help me grow further.
BoCo is similar to my current school in the sense that it is urban and has conservatory-style training, both of which I like. My current city is reasonable. How expensive is living in Boston?
I like the school, yet I was wondering what it would be like transferring credits. Would I have to start as a freshman? My school has strong dance training, I know of Boston's ballet component, but how strong is their jazz division? Also, do they take mid-year transfers b/c I have just decided on transferring. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Also if current students and parents are on this board, I'd appreciate any PMs. Thanks!
