Current BoCo student happy to answer questions

Feel free to post here with any questions or e-mail me at MatthewKacergis@gmail.com

I'm currently attending the school (I transferred in after one semester at CCM) and am very pleased with my decision.

Matt, thanks so much for offering to talk about your experiences at BoCo. (BTW, do the folks at BoCo mind it being referred to as "BoCo"? ) My D (who is almost never online ... she lives the typical overly-scheduled life of a high school student immersed in training for MT, with which I am sure you are familiar!) is wondering in particular about the dance portion of the BoCo audition. Any memories you can pass along? Also, we hear that the training is superb at BoCo and quite well balanced between acting, singing and dance. But if you had to say which was emphasized most, what would it be?

Why BOCO?

Hi, My daughter is considering both CCM and BOCO. Can you give us some insights into the differences? I know different schools are more suitable to different personalities. She is also considering UofM and OCU. How was the dance? How about the atmosphere in and out of the MT department at both schools? I don't mean to ask so many questions.....Thanks.

Chelle,

Can you email me? Thats a question better not answered in the public forum.

Thanks!

The dance portion of the audition is nothing to worry about. Parts were challenging. But what they emphasize is that it can ONLY help you...it cannot hurt you at all!

Honestly I would say there is a perfect balance between the disciplines, which is why i chose to continue my training by transferring to boco instead of switching to a self-created program in NY.

I doubt they mind it being referred to as "BoCo" but obviously i use the school name in official correspondence!
