extreme chances?

I recently found out I'm pregnant, but I still really want to go to Boston University. I haven't been accepted yet, but do you think they would still accept me even after I'm a couple months in? I'm due in September, do you think they would let me keep my baby in the dorm rooms? I'm so nervous!!

( ps. my stats are real high, 4.0 gpa, #2 in my class, real strong SATs, tons of extracurriculars and sports ..well before I got knocked up, of course. )

How could you even think about keeping a newborn baby in a dorm room? If you are accepted and plan to attend in fall, I hope you have a great support system and child care, because you'll need it.

I think you should defer your acceptance to any college for a year. Then the baby will be a year old, and you'll have more time to make living and child care arrangements. Do you have family in the area?

I doubt they'd allow a baby in a dorm for liability reasons. Why not call the student counseling office at BU and ask about how to handle this situation? Its such a large school that this must have occurred with other students over the years and maybe they can let you know your options.

What can your family do for you? Are they near Boston? Will you keep the baby? Maybe you could defer your attendance until second semester which is late Jan.

If your second question was about them accepting a pregnant student--well I don't know how they'd find out but either way it would be discriminatory (illegal)not to accept you over that same as is in the job market.

i am sure you wouldn't like my honest advice on taking care of the situation so i am going to just say call the counseling department and have them figure out something.

listen, dont be nervous. this same thing happened to one of my friends a couple of years ago. it worked out fine. im not sure about BU but my friends' college provided a daycare service becuase apparently things like this happened frequently. the only thing is her child was already a couple months old soo i dont know if that will affect the decision. also the father was going to so they got a dorm together and were allowed to keep the baby in the room with them. the only thing is many of the other students frequently got fed up with the baby's crying and filed many complaints which ultimately cuased them to have to move out but thats not the point. so dont worry, congrats on becoming a mommy and good luck!

haha trolls are people that get on and make some stupid story up just to see what people say... they are a pathetic, miserable lot, and should be avoided at all costs.

yeah theyre usually people that say they have amazing stats, ecs, etc..., but then make up some story that can be, at times, entertaining, but does waste my time as a frequesnt user of CC.

i have NO idea why they do it, my idea of a good time is certainly not sitting on CC and telling people that im pregnant, and asking for advice on whether i should live with my baby in a freaking dorm.
