BU email account!? HELP

Is anyone else confused about how to set up the email account?! ok, I made my email and password by setting up my early bird ID and my ACS account, but HOW do I check my mail?!!? Is everyone supposed to use IMAP, and if so how do you set that up? the instructions on their website are sooo confusing. any help is greately appreciated!

you have to wait 24 hours (probably less) after you set up your name and password until you get your acs account. don't be worried. then go to www.bu.edu/webmail and then click on HORDE. this will ask for your name and password which it where you wil find your e-mail account.

Y'all should consider a program like Outlook Express or Mozilla Thunderbird to check your BU e-mail. I always used Horde until somebody recommended I try those. BU provides precise instructions on how to set this up on their computing web-site, and best of all, you get to have your BU e-mail sent to your desktop instead of having to use horde which is always slooow. Just an idea.

well if u transfer your BU email to your desktop using something like Outlook Express..you'll know right away when you have a new email..you don't have to log in all the time to check if you have mail like on Horde..just saves time.

You should use an email program but set up the account for IMAP, not POP. Instructions are on the BU site - http://www.bu.edu/pcsc/email/. That way you can check your mail and manage it from any computer.
