Fees

For those who are already attending BU, can you tell me what sort of fees they charge for the first and second semesters of freshman year? Because I know most schools charge you fees that they never tell you about and I'd like to know about them ahead of time so I can make sure I have enough money to pay for them.

no surprises come to mind for me.

you'll need money for..

- books
- transportation (T, taxis, and perhaps an unexpected trip home)
- fun/recreation (dining out, movies, theaters, concerts, museums, clubbing, parties, whatever you like to do..)
- and maybe clothes (especially if you don't own any winter clothes and would like to buy them in boston when it gets cold)

that's probably not what you're looking for, but yeah.. i don't think there were any surprise fees charged directly by BU.

The fees that show up on your statement include:

Undergrad student fee: $462
ResNet: $230 - can unsubscribe and info is at bu.edu/comp/saweb/resnet.html
Sports pass: $85.00
Medical Ins: $1,288. Go to bu.edu/comp/saweb and go to Medical to confirm or waive.

Other than that it's tuition, meals and and room.
