It looks pretty good to me. I would check with your college counselor or google for an ACT/SAT equivelency chart to tell which one is higher but there's no harm sending both. This is just my opinion and obviously doesn't reflect any official endorsement from BU, the Office of Admissions or the Student Union.

Good Luck

BTW there is info on this forum regarding some BU sites for India dance activities. You'll need to check about two pgs ago. The title should be "India assoc". There were several links to various student organizations including dancing with lots of pictures.

As you probably know, BU has an acceptance rate of about 57%. If you're in the top 5%, I really don't see how you couldn't get in (unless you had horrible SATs or bad recs or something, which you obviously don't). Someone let me know if I'm being overly confident here...

I'm applying to CAS too

Depends on which college you're applying to, but these scores are average for BU generally (not including CGS or MET). BU's acceptance rate is a function of size, but remember that students apply with averages in mind. Many students reach for BU, while others use it as a safety, but the general idea is kids with similar scores or with some distinguishing factor that offsets scores are applying. That said, collegehunt is a very good candidate.

Well lavafrog, I was 10th in my class with a 1320 SAT. I was waitlisted for CAS and am applying as a transfer for next year...so don't be too confident.

All my stats were decent except a 600 on the writing SAT I, but I don't think that should have been a deal breaker. Perhaps they hated my essays? I think the main issue was that I went to a very small school and they had already accepted the valedictorian.

Here's a Free Press article on an Indian dance competition held in Boston and hosted by BU's India Club and Boston Indian Student Association.
