so does anyone know if it is possible to request to have an assignment changed? I picked Warren as my first choice and for some reason ended up with West.

Well, you can't always get your first choice. I haven't gotten any room assignment yet. =/

You won't have any luck calling or bothering office of housing as they aren't gonna just change your assignment. Every room in Warren has been assigned and so has every room in West. Your best bet would be to try and work out a swap with someone meaning you find someone who agrees to completely swap rooms with you. In your case, you'd have to find someone in Warren who wants to be in West and you fill out some paperwork and just swap that way. This is easily done if you're really up to it. Browse around the facebook groups and find some kid who wants to switch.

anybody know about this new housing at the Hyatt Regency?
I'm transferring in and I don't know if it's a good idea to stay there or just go off-campus. The Hyatt is the only on-campus housing (so they call it) they are giving me.

I've heard the only negative of the Hyatt is the distance to campus. Supposedly, everything else is great... you would be living at a four star hotel rather then a dorm built in the 1960's.

It says I finished the survey, but haven't been assigned a room.

Lots of people have not been assigned yet. But, chances that you'll get Warren is slim by now since most rooms are filled up

humtaro, as a transfer student, it might not be in your best interest to live at Hyatt. There's a reason why BU encouraged soph, juniors and seniors to choose Hyatt and it's so Freshman can actually see what BU really offers in terms of close campus feel. I'd try my best to either get something on campus, maybe Towers/Shelton/Myles, or at least attempt to find a really close off-campus housing. First impressions are everything, and if the first year you are at BU, you have to get back on campus via a shuttle, then you might not enjoy it as much. Plus, Hyatt's community feel is not good for newcomers since you have to keep the doors closed all the time, and people might hate having to find some way to visit you at the Hyatt since it's across the river.

Don't worry Kev, I didn't want Warren even though I put it as my first choice. I wanted Hojo. Because I wanted the lofted bed.
