Music Placement Test

I was just wondering if anyone could give me a general idea as to what to expect on the music placement test. I've played the saxophone for 10 years (Alto for 10, and Tenor for 4), but I haven't had any private instruction so I know only what I've been taught in school through the band/orch program at my school and what I've taught myself (improvisation). Is this background enough to do well and what can I expect to see on the test?

Note: I am a non-music major, and I'm taking Music Theory as I am possibly minoring in music but I want to just learn the theory and such.

If you're talking about the theory placement test...it is used to place students in the correct level of music theory. Some students come to college with vast knowledge of music theory and others don't.

Can you minor in music at BU?
