Scholarships

How are the academic scholarships determined, are they based on GPA alone or is it a number of things (standardized test scores, etc.)? If so, what are the ranges of GPA's and scores for each scholarship?

Thanks

I know about the University scholarship. The top 10 % students get it. You have to be in the top 1% of the class, have a 3.9 GPA, n extra curriculars.

There are a number of different types of scholarships and each has specific expectations. If you go on the BU web site and search under merit scholarships they will list them along with averages for stats. These are just averages though and there seems to be some room. Our s had a 1420 SAT, just in the top 5% of his class and about a 4.6 GPA. He received the hlaf tuition one. I believe it is mostly based on academics not ECs. If you look through some of the accepted student threads many students list their stats along with scholarshps they received and you will note a good deal of variability.
