But the limit to write on is 4000 characters can i have more than 500 words?

The character and word limit are usually consistent. There's a reason why they have the limits for essays and it's just because there's so many applications to read. Can you imagine if every person went over the limit? It would just take too long. If you do happen to go over though, try to keep it to a bare minimum. 10 to 15 words PERHAPS?
