Female. Private independent school. Southern VA. Twin. New.
I won't send test scores nor will I apply if I get into another school early decision.
I have the upward trend working in my advantage. I'm sure that my early high school experiences differed from many of y'alls...and not so much in a positive way.

Stats-
GPA: 97.08/100.00 unweighted. A 94 is a 4.0. Top 15%, class of 78. No ranking

Freshman year-
English II-A-
Algebra-B-
Spanish I-A

Party-A+

Sophmore Yea-
Honors English III- A+
Geometry- B+

So by then, I was getting the hang of this academic stuff. My test scores were significantly higher than my sleep-it-through psat scores from my freshman year. But no one ever seems to be satisfied with their test scores..
I began to study precalculus through independent study at Brigham Young University.
I ended up taking a two part course that amounted to the honors class at my school- and I did this work all spring and all summer just to take CALCULUS.It'll be on my junior year transcript. Finals. Limited communication with an instructor in d.c..the works.
Precal I-A+
Precal II-A+

Senior Year

AP English Literature

Senior Study Hall

ECS: Theatre(5 years), Dog Therapy(visiting a local nursing home), JV and Varsity Tennis, Writing, film critique, and southern culture.
Accepted to internationally renowned young writer's program, 2008 and 2009.
Published in school literary magazine grades 9-11
Academic honor roll years 9-10
Movin' on up to the Dean's list in 11th grade
UVA summer enrichment for film analysis in 2007
NHS
Founder High School Human Rights League..member and/or office holder on arts clubs.

I've written a complex essay with simple language and a blurb about working at a nursing home and the stereotypes senior citizens live with. I also enjoy small animals too often.

I had an interview at Bowdoin over the summer. It was a very rich conversation and I would advise anyone interested in applying there to sign up for one.

Other schools: William and Mary, Uva, University of Richmond, VCU, NYU, Mary Washington.

Thanks y'all.

My first chance thread! Keep in mind not sending in test scores will bring much more scrutiny to that transcript and if you appear to come from means or access to more academic opportunity, the expectations of your academic performance will be higher (the dirty underbelly of a "holistic"/"comprehensive" admissions process). That said, you're academic record is strong and on par with many on campus so I would confidently say you have a strong chance on getting in...if academics were all that mattered.
You're ec's are great but don't have much consistency. If you do decide on applying understand that many students will have a similar transcript, especially those from private schools and the college is very serious about accepting not just bright students but those who have a skill/talent/passion in something. Emphasize that and you'll probably have put yourself in as best a position for acceptance as you could reasonably hope for.
BTW- have you really thought about Bowdoin carefully? Judging by the other schools you're applying to, Bowdoin seems a bit of an outlier, except for William & Mary and even that's a bit different. One thing I can say with a reasonable degree of certainty is that Bowdoin is not a one-size-fits-all school and a pleasant interview and fun campus experience doesn't mean it will work for you. Just saying.
