IR career prospects for Brandeis grads

What gov't agencies recruit @ Brandeis . How many students go into the Foreign Service, or do other IR related things. How helpful is Brandeis in getting you a job?

Are you talking about Brandeis or George Washington? You're on the Brandeis forum.

I'm not sure which gov't agencies actively recruit at 'Deis, but I know that the gov't generally respects a Brandeis degree since I'm interviewing on Monday for a job at the US EPA and I applied too late to a CIA internship and got a personal e-mail encouraging me to attend a program they were having here and to reapply EARLY next year (like in September...yikes!). There are also various events that Brandeis holds for getting jobs/internships/whatevers.

The government typically doesn't actively recruit so much- ESPECIALLY the foreign service since so many people take the test worldwide. That being said, Brandeis is very well respected among government agencies. If you take something like Arabic, the CIA will take notice.

I've heard that you can cross register with Tufts at Brandeis, I suppose that includes the Fletcher school. If thats the case you could take courses at one of the best IR schools in the country while @ 'Deis"
