Athletic kids at Brandeis

I have visited Brandeis twice and am still deciding whether or not to enroll. My only concern is that I will be miserable because I won't find anybody with the same interests as me. I am just wondering if there are some kids at Brandeis who like watching and playing sports and not just staying in their dorm all hours studying.

People definitely don't stay in at all hours studying. Not to be preachy, but it's definitely up to you to join a sports-related activity to be with people who are like you. If you're not on a varsity team you can always join an intramural league, which is very easy to. There are lots of popular club sports. And I think 'watching the game' is pretty common, at least on the guys' floor in my dorm. The gyms are usually occupied, although people start attending more second semester (freshman 15 ;p)
I'm not going to lie, though. I think the average student here is pretty indifferent towards sports. I recently went to a Celtics game and my friend asked me if it was a hockey team. I think she might be an extreme example.

People are pretty intense about baseball here, I've found. Lots of Boston kids + Lots of NY kids = Lots of rivalry
