Brandeis admissions stats

Here are the stats for admissions and applications released from the admissions office:

Number of applications: 7,344. That's about 10 for each place in the next freshman class, and an increase of 26% over last year's. Certainly at least partly a result of the blue-ribbon application program.

110 applicants ranked first in their HS class; 87% were in the top 10% of their class.

Last year's acceptance rate was 40.3%; this year's is estimated at 38%, including students admitted off the waiting list.

20.3% of accepted students defined themselves as being "of color"; up 17% from last year

169 students were accepted ED.

How many students applied ED? Where did you find these?

This information came from The Justice, Brandeis' weekly paper. It did not mention how many applied ED.
