I believe about 50-60 students from Brandeis apply each year. Note that if you are interested in applying, you have to take Chemistry and take at least one semester of Biology and Organic Chemistry plus the corresponding labs. This would mean doubling up on Biology and Organic Chemistry during your sophomore year, a more challenging combination than the alternative (taking Physics with Biology and Orgo junior year).
You apply in February of your sophomore year and then if Tufts is interested, they will interview you. About 50% of applicants get interviews, held during April of your sophomore year. At the end of the semester, if Tufts is still interested, they will ask to see your end of semester grades. They send decisions at the end of June of your sophomore year. I would say around 15 students ultimately get accepted to the Early Assurance Program, although I am not premed so I could be off. Students who do not get accepted to the Early Assurance program may still apply to Tufts their senior year like they would to any other medical school.
