Commuting to Brandeis

Does anybody know about a way to get to Brandeis from Brookline using public transportation? How difficult is it?
Thank you!

Public transportation from Brookline to Brandeis would take a good amount of time, unless you used a cab. You could take the green line into Boston, change to the red line at Park St. and take the red line into Porter Square. Then you could take the commuter rail (Fitchburg/North Station line) outbound to Brandeis. Alternately, you could take the green line to riverside and take a taxi from there (it'd probably be about a $10 taxi). It's possible there's a bus (I would check mbta.com) but those are the options I know.

Thank you. Riverside sounds much better. There is a bus, but it doesn't go all the way to the school, so I am not sure about winter time walking
