| Funny BYU/Mormon Things Okay, here's the point of this thread. This is where you list things you find funny or just things that you like about BYU or about mormon culture. This is NOT a debate thread. Any posters just trying to start a debate about mormonism/BYU/etc. will be ignored. So, I guess I'll start it off.
1. The movie Pride and Prejudice: A Latter-Day Comedy. I don't know exactly why, but I absolutely LOVE this movie. It makes me happy!
2. The honor code song they sing at the beginning of Freshman Orientation. "That's against the honor code, that's against the honor code, that's against the honor cooooooode!" Ha ha. Priceless.
3. People who draw chalk circles next to the Maeser statue instead of around it (if you know the story you'll get it).
4. The layers and layers of clothing you'll see a lot of people wearing.
5. The way the marching band plays "when the saints come marching in" when they enter the football field.
6. The ducks outside of my window.
7. The way we have to put plastic wrap around our statues to protect them during the week before the BYU/Utah game.
8. The naked Indian statue.
9. BYUSSR (AKA BYUSA)
10. The BYU break dance club--Instead of alcohol, they drank red bull during their break dance battle! Only at BYU!
11. Divine Comedy--the best!
12. The phrase "oh my heck." Who actually says that? That's so weird! |
