okay since we're posting numbers here, let me join the circle.
my gpa is 3.23 and my converted ACT score is 33 (SAT score is 1490).
i've taken four AP classes. here are their respective scores.
AP European History - 4
AP US History - 4
AP Environmental Science - 5
AP Psychology - 2

The second semester of my junior year was probably the lowest point in my high school career as I got an F AND a D in AP Envi Sci and AP Psych. I wouldn't exactly say that I was stupid.. I was focusing on other things.

Extra-curricular activities:
Model United Nations - 9th, 10th, 11th grades
Varsity Soccer - all four years
Morning Seminary - four years

However I decided to pull myself together in my senior year. Though I am not taking any AP classes this year because of my poor performance last year, I managed to pull off all A's on academic subjects (I got a B in PE) on the first quarter in my senior year. It is now nearing the end of the first semester and I am quite confident that I can pull off all A's. I've already submitted my application for BYU and I have submitted a copy of my first quarter report card with my official transcripts. I don't know if BYU admissions officers are interested in my senior year first quarter grades tho.
I am in turmoil right now. I know with my ACT score, i can get in, but my GPA isn't exactly stellar. ANY help/advise on this matter? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks

PS: please don't drop any bombs on this comment. i'm already flustered as it is. it's a big risk i'm taking; opening myself up like that.

GPA 4.0
ACT 35 (Writing 12)
I have already taken 6 AP exams: Calculus BC (5), French (5), Microeconomics (5), Macroeconomics (5), Comparative Government and Politics (5) and Psychology (5). I am taking 6 more AP classes this year.

If you're interested in my extracurriculars, you may ask me. I attend Philips Exeter Academy, so I was provided with countless opportunities.

Yes, I am a LDS member in good standing.

i'm curious. what are your extracurriculars?
Dauphin, it is awesome statistics you have there; but really, i don't believe LDS is for spiting other people for their ignorance or sub par intelligence. if you were an LDS member in good standing, don't you think you would already have known all that?
i understand that you are really an extraordinary student and the numbers show that. but it would be awesome if you could, as a fellow LDS member, show a better example to people unknowledgeable about our religion.
i mean no bad feeling in this, but that post you made cracking down on irishguy was really a bit uncalled for.
