For those who are worried you won't get in to BYU

Got a 3.2 gpa and a 25 ACT and are certan you are out of consideration?

Ok you people are really going to hate me... say hello to the exemption... ME!
a few days ago I was accepted to BYU.. with a 2.8 GPA!!!... I don't know how it happened maybe some devine intervention but that GPA is not a good rep of my ablility. my 32 ACT was more like it but the following things may have contributed: multicultural student, A lenthy letter of recomendation from the stake pres, eagle scout, Captan of the quizbowl team, co-captain of the state runnerup soccer team, Science olympiad utility player, Nationaly ranked high school according to the US new top 100 hs in the nation, 7 AP classes and 14 honors classes,100+ hours of community service, 99.9% seminary attendance, SOAR student, Spanish honor society, and first generation college student...

so some of you may be mad at me or BYU for letting a 2.8 to get in but I just wanted to say to you out there that are worried you won't make it...relax ... you will, its all about what you are doing that causes you get a 2.8... got to have had a better reason than watching tv thats for sure. hmm I should've run for class office...

well thats my input any questions?

-you can do it!

PS- if you are a hs freshman and reading this please dont make the same mistake I did at your age (do your work) it will really mess up your chances for scholarships.

PSS- I got straght A's this semester and plan to pass 3.0 by the time I graduate so I have improved since then (i use to have a 2.5 as a sophi) so no low blows

even though I am not applying to BYU it was a relief to hear that non-4.0 GPAs can get places too

I was terribly sick my fresh/soph year and so what could have been a 4.0 wasn't, however my resume reads much like yours

so thank you, for letting me know that it's okay.
thank you so much
