How hard is it for non-lds to get in?

I am a non-mormon who is seriously considering BYU. Do you think that being a non-mormon will significantly hurt my chances of being accepted?

It's a good school. And maybe he/she likes the morality of the student body.

there are many conservative, good schools in this country. i figured BYU was an attraction to most of its students because it's one of the few LDS schools out there.

i don't have any basis for that, I just assumed that it's that kind of place...

Yes the morality of the student body, the traditional principles they embrace and the conservative politics are what is attracting me to BYU.

To answer your question it WILL hurt your chances, but how much is debatable. Non Mormons do get in.

I am a non-LDS international. I'm admitted to the class of 2013. I have even received scholarship covering 50-60% of tuition for the first year. I'll be joining BYU this fall.

IMO, they'll admit you. Don't worry. My stats weren't even that impressive but still I got in, with scholarship.
