English Classes

Hey,

I heard that some English classes are incredibly hard to get into, which makes me so upset that I didn't choose one earlier and will have to gamble to get into one on registration.

Can anyone that goes to Brown tell me which English classes are the hardest to get into? I realize that the "registration is limited" ones must be tough, but I would appreciate a more in depth answer.

Oh and what classes do you personally take? And what advice would you give to people who (like myself) love the maths and sciences, but also want to have a strong foundation in the written word?

Some final questions: Are there any English classes that go underappreciated? Are some of the Freshmen only classes good picks? One course description mentions a "confident writer," how demanding would you say are the English classes for students who have successfully taken both AP English courses during highschool?

Thanks!
