Rejected from Cornell, but got in somewhere "better"?

has anyone been deffered, waitlisted, or rejected from Cornell, but have been able to get in at other ivy leagues or schools of similar caliber?

Yes.. ivies don't cooperate and make decisions jointly..

actually, yes. waitlisted at cornell but accepted at brown and columbia college.

Better is kind of a subjective term, so I'm not really sure how to take it...

But I got waitlisted at Cornell, which I was pretty surprised at to be honest, not to sound arrogant or anything, though.

And I was accepted to Brown RD, UChicago EA, and got into the Honors Program at Notre Dame which takes the top 1-2% of applicants, so I don't know.

I gave up on trying to figure out the college process.

I got rejected from Cornell as a transfer, but got into Brown. Rejected from Dartmouth and Hopkins as well.
