Online, zherusalem. If you did it by hand, they would just scan it in.

for the architect of your own education essay Im talking about how I can focus on the subjects I like and not have to take any I hate...
does that seem too close minded? I dont know if they wanna hear something like "I can take any class and experience everything" or " I can take the classes I want to take without having to waste my time in other areas" HELP?

@Zherusalem- Are you not using the Common App? There's a place to type it in right there.

@thefunnything your post made me wonder, if they only spend 15 mins max on each applicant, i feel like it would just be more of a skimming than reading isn't it? and i always thought there should be more than one admissions people reading each applicant.

Wow, the Brown supplement is definitely the longest of everywhere I'm applying. Though the questions are quite good, I am a little frustrated that I have to do it now (my counselor wants to see it before we go on winter break), even though I probably won't apply if I get into Princeton SCEA.

@wooocollege. brown has at least two admissions people reading each application.

@zherusalem. since you have to use the common app to apply anyway, just add brown to "my colleges" and then fill out the supplement there.

It will be very interesting to see what the application numbers are for the RD pool. The supplement certainly did not dissuade the ED applicants,(as the numbers are up) but those are the students who would be applying "no matter what". If the number of applicants goes down for RD, (as students who are just adding numbers of schools may decide all that writing isn't worth it) that might make the ad coms job a bit easier. It also might make it likely that a larger number of ED students will be deferred (instead of rejected) if the admissions office is anticipating a smaller pool of RD aps. Also, if you are a ED app who is deferred, it might make admission a bit more likely, if we are just speculating on statistical probability. Time will tell!
