| I don't think it is required. But if you don't ask for one, there is always the risk that Brown will see it as a lack of enthusiasm for the school. |

| Brown does not require an interview, but if you live in an area where interviews are offered (all of the US and a lot of foreign countries with lots of appliants) then you definitely should have one, because it looks bad to be offered the chance and then turn it down. |

| those are some really good SATII scores
I took my first SATII in 9th grade (bio) and received a 700 (not so great)... does it make a difference that i took it so young, or should i retake it after AP bio in 12th grade??? |

| people have said this a million times on this board -- the number of APs doesn't matter, what matters is that you're taking the hardest curriculum your school has to offer
and why is this still a sticky? |

| Act? I don't necessarily agree that submitting ACT is bad because it "puts you in the minority". Look at the results of ECCO1lvn, for example. Could it be that the % accepted with ACT is lower than % accepted with SAT simply because fewer submit the ACT, therefore fewer ACT students will be represented in the accepted applicant pool?...this in itself doesn't necessarily mean that one is at a disadvantage in submitting the ACT. |
