| This might sound stupid, but when you get your letter, can you tell (from the size) if you got accepted or rejected
as in, if you got rejected it will be thin, but for accepted it will be big?
and I am freaking out right now...about 63 hours and 30 mins |

but now its 49 hours and 56 minutes.
I can't stop counting.
Today in physics I calculated the minutes, at the time (1:50) it was 1,234 minutes. I didn't check seconds tho. ee |

| Hey Brown ED applicants,
I want to wish you all the best of luck for when you hear from Brown in a couple days. I'm sure you all are smart talented students that Brown would be lucky to have. Whether or not they decide to accept you does not change that.
I know you all must be dying, waiting to hear from them, but please do not make yourselves any crazier than necessary waiting. Checking the website every time you go online days before Brown says results will be posted and counting down the minutes until you hear will not making it any easier or make you more likely to get it. I know you all want to get in badly or you probably would not have chosen to apply hear early. However do not let Browns decision to accept, defer, or reject you define you.
I offer you this advice as someone who went through this process last year, specifically with Brown. I wanted to get in so badly I drove myself crazy all of December waiting to hear from them. I was deferred and it made me really upset and angry and confused about where I would end up. While everyone can agree that it would be very nice to end the college application process in December and be able to enjoy the rest of senior year worry free, not getting in early was not the end of the world. Having the opportunity to apply regular decision really opens up a lot of possibilities. There are a lot of great schools out there, including Washington University in St. Louis, where I now attend. Asides from the fact that I need to study for finals right now I absolutely love it. So what I am trying to say is that I hope you do not stress out too much about early decision results. If you get in, congratulations! I hope you love it. And if you don’t get in, there truly are plenty of other great and even better schools out there that you could be happy at.
The college application process is a b*tch, but do not let it get you down! |

| nice perspective, thanks
i know i have been going crazy with anxiety, and i try to calm myself down by telling myself i will get in somewhere, and i will love it, so hearing this from experience is reassuring, thanks again |

| Well, we're closing in now. I'd just like to say good luck to everyone who applied, and thanks to everyone who helped me out with questions concerning Brown thus far. Hopefully I'll be seeing some of you in Providence next year.
Anyway, I'll find my way back onto the boards sometime tomorrow and post my results. Again, best of luck to you all. |
