Sprint coverage on brown campus/providence

Can anyone give me any experiences with sprint as their carrier on their cell phone for brown? Does it get good service? Any issues?

I don't know if it's changed but in 2005-2008 it was horrible. I had much more limited and weaker service than my friends on att or Verizon.

That hasn't changed much. Verizon and AT&T remain the two most popular providers on College Hill.

My daughter graduated in 2011. She mostly had fine service from Sprint all the time. Occasionally no, though, which was probably fine with her.

On the sprint coverage map, it says sprint has full service in providence, in and out of brown. can anyone confirm this?

I use Virgin Mobile, which uses Sprint's network, and was in Prov and at Brown dropping my D at Summer@Brown last week.

It was meh. On campus it was fine - in D's dorm room, on the green and in the couple of buildings I was in I had no problem.

On the commercial part of Thayer St and around College Hill, I often lost signal. Coming from OH, where Sprint is amazing, I was disappointed.
