| LEFT HANDED KIDS! aka cool kids :)
Wow dudes, I was just looking at the Or game thread, and I didn't know we had so many left-handed people. Wasn't there some study saying left handed people are more creative/artsy? Isn't this really weird that we're all applying to Brown? lol.

I'm not really artistic either, unless you count doodling incessantly in my agenda book or my notes for Latin or calc (really, I just get bored and have a super set of markers to compensate). It would be interesting to find out if a higher percentage of Brown students are left-handed in comparison to other schools, but something tells me that the difference would probably be negligible. Still, lefties are awesome. |

Maybe they could have a left-handed a capella group or something. Heck, they've got every other kind of a capella group under the sun!

Ha, I'm actually pretty surprised they don't already have a club for lefties. Or how about an intermural softball team where eveybody's left-handed? |

they could sponsor a school to give support to left-handers so they can develop their gifts properly |

lol the funny thing is, I'm sorta mixed. For dextrous actions, I use my left hand aka writing, chopsticks, ping pong. But for strong stuff: throwing something, etc. I use my right. =x

Most of my teachers were pretty supportive of me being left-handed; my mother and her mother were not as fortunate, so even if I had run into any difficulty they would have straightened those teachers right out (er, or is that left out?). Sometimes I get flak from teachers who don't appreciate how I shift my body during tests so that I can write more comfortably, but for the most part it's not a big deal.
I use my right hand for the mouse (that way I can write at the same time), opening my locker, and to play tennis. Everything else, including catching for softball, is done left-handed. I can however, write more legibly with my right hand than my brother, who is naturally right-handed. I guess we're just multi-talented!
Besides, we always pull the stat that we're probably two or three times more likely than them to end up in a mental institution or Mensa... take your pick. There are scholarships for lefties though, I always thought it would be interesting to get one of those. I missed being born on International Left-Hander's Day by one day though! Oh well.

I can write with my right hand, but it's pretty ugly. I can also play badminton with my right hand, but only if I feel like losing.

I use my right leg, but my left hand for small motor skills and my right for large motor skills (aka I can't write, or paint or sketch with right, but throwing, I can and do) Am I dextrous?
