Did anyone else get an invite for this. This thing is for So Cal and I got a postcard from Brown inviting me to this (on feb 2). What does this mean? BTW I am URM.

natalie_portman, for future reference, the word you were looking for is "prospective," not perspective. That is, if you are referring to prospective students. I think that's what Ernie was getting at. And "singling out" means selecting certain people from a group (in this case, based on ethnicity).
