My Chances

I have a 4.2 GPA and rank in the top tenth of my class
but my SATs are CR:600, Math:650, Writing: 580 (not exceptional SAT scores)
i run varsiy track, debate team, volunteer work, CSF (Cal scholarship federation), Scholar Athlete for track, Cross Country 1 semester, good recommendations, good essay written up, music
what are my chances?
be honest.

Noone knows for for sure, but your SATs are pretty low, unless you have a hook or a blockbuster essay it will be difficult.

contact the track/xc coach to get recruited, otherwise, with those scores, it's really really hard. unless if you're black, hispanic, or native american of course.

nothing makes you stand apart from the other thousands of applicants. clubs/good gpa are things had by everyone. and lots will have better sat scores. not looking good unless you're running track.
