Ah, thank you. I'm going to double-check my information in Part I and send it to get started on Part II. This definitely helps me figure out how to schedule my time.

Hey, has anyone not gotten an alumni interview yet? I know contacting admissions now will leave me with the "not getting interviews won't hurt your chances. If an alumni's in your area, he'll contact you..." response, so I'm wondering when's the right time to contact admissions since Dec. 15 is fast approaching...?

No alumni interview call/email yet for me either, deathlyhollows. I doubt there are many alums in my area, though, so we'll see.

I just had mine last week, and my alumni interviewer said that their reviews need to be submitted to Brown online by December 1.. so there's still a little bit of time. Call Brown admissions, and ask them if there isn't anyone in your area who could interview you.

For CCers aiming for PLME:

If I didn't take a science SAT II, do you think this will considerably lower my chances for PLME? I know that the brochure states that Brown recommends taking a science SAT II, but I only took U.S. History, Math II, and Literature. I'm considering taking SAT II Biology in January and rush reporting it to the adcom.

What do you guys think?

If they recommend it, then it probably kind of hurts you to not do it...

Have you taken a science AP test?

Yes, I took AP Chemistry but only received a 4.
Since I'm taking AP Biology this year, I think I might take the subject test for biology in January. Do you think Brown will still take the score if I rush report it?

Wait, ED? (assumed since this was ED thread).

I don't see how much that will matter.. don't decisions return on the 15th of December or so?

If you're RD which makes more sense, I think they would take them, but I'm not sure.

"only" a 4? You do know that's out of 5, right? A 4 is a good score on an AP test.

I was one of those people who had applied ED, but no interview call. I didn't call the Admissions Office, but an alumnus just called me five minutes ago for an interview on Friday. So, don't panic, fellow interviewless people. You have not been forgotten.

Skyway: Sorry for the confusion. I'm applying RD but I hope to have input from ED applicants.

Daveb: I feel that my profile lacks a strong science foundation (have not participated in any research or competition). That's why I was disappointed with my 4. I didn't mean to put down anyone who has a 4.
