My interviewer at end: "I have to be honest, I really hope Brown accepts you"
LOL.. it was the best interview ever. So much fun. She went to Brown in the (late) 1940's, and she absolutely loved me.. we were laughing and sharing stories and everything. w00t!
I really don't know why I made a separate thread on this.. I was a bit elated after the interview (it was my first one ever as well). Ignore/delete thread please lol
My s still hasn't recvd a call about his interview. Should he wait or call Brown? I thought they called you to schedule the interview once your app was complete and in to them. Is this not correct? is there something he should have done? Thanks
Mine said something to the same effect, followed with a "I hope you accept their offer as well". Though I (as SB mom noted) knew that it really was nothing much more than some sort of clerical business that Brown does.
It was a really enjoyable converstion though and I DID get to learn quite a lot about Brown. It was also rather long (twice as long as my Deep Springs interview [which I thought would be then end all of interviews {or perhaps hoped...})
I had my interview today and my interviewer turned out to be my brother's friend's dad which was funny... everyone was so nice and relaxed it was great. I liked how we were in a big room with about 15 other people being interviewed at the same time. It definitely made me calmer.
I'm happy everyone is having positive interview experiences! My daughter loved her interview last year. She returned from it knowing that Brown would be a great fit for her. The interviewer was interesting, kind, and informative. It was a great experience! I'll never forget how excited she was after that interview.
Old people seem to say nicer things about me during the interviews.
If those words encouraged you, then she did her job (not to say that I'm sure you are qualified to go to Brown).
My interviewer went to Brown in the 80s and told me some of the grassroots activism they had going on then. She had so many little anecdotes about her time there, and she actually made me like Brown a lot more than I did beforehand. Too bad it seem like the interviews don't count for much...everyone's seems to be going great!
