Not important?

Hey guys, I have an intense passion for endangered species and animal oppression. I even created an advocacy program on this subject aimed towards teens. We campaign for awareness, protest and the such. And my involvement in the subject is pretty deep, I even had an internship at PETA. BUT- I'm really worried because not everybody takes important issues like these seriously. I've met my fair share of people who honestly couldn't care at all about animal rights, or animal extinction- and who simply do not care at all. Obviously this is concerning, and I was wondering how do I know personally if Brown will take this issue seriously? Is it left-wing, or right wing? How will I know that the admissions people will take the fact that this subject is so important to me?

Brown is looking for time commitment and passion. If those things come across, it doesn't matter what it's directed towards.

The admissions process here is somewhat arbitrary, and my being at Brown in no way helps me understand why they let me in.

That being said, they seem to put a particular interest on the essays. Because everyone has good SATs, essays are a great way to distinguish yourself.
