Should I let them know I'm a Nat'l Merit Finalist?

I just found out I'm a finalist for National Merit. Should I send an e-mail to my regional rep letting her know? Thanks in advance!

Congratulations.

You should tell them, but it probably does more to refresh memory of you than to impress them. They already have access to all the information that goes into NMF, so it's not like they are learning something new. They can probably look at their applicants and predict pretty well who will be NMF.
