| Two years ago Brown took no one off the waitlist, last year there were some waitlist acceptees. It really depends on how many students were accepted and the matriculation rate.
There are numerous other threads on CC about getting off the waitlist, so I'd read those. Definitely write a letter, update with anything new, give information that was not in your application. If you had an interview, you could talk to that alum -- some alums do have connections with admissions (although most don't). Sometimes guidance counselors can call and make a case.
But then, you have to move on, fall in love with another school. Because honestly, the chances of getting in are slim. |
