| I got waitlisted at Brown as well. I talked to somebody who used to work for Brown admissions and one of her big pieces of advice was not to send in too much, as you may start to annoy the admissions people. It's just so hard- Brown's been my first choice since I was about 3 years old lol. I want to get in so badly, and I know I could contribute to the University and succeed, but I just don't know how to convey that and it feels like they aren't even listening. |

| I understand it's tough but there's still a chance that you'll be able to get in. I was waitlisted last year, was really disappointed, but I sent in my deposit to JHU, sent a nicely written letter of interest to Brown admissions, and waited until early May when I received a phone call from my regional rep saying I got in. I believe that although no one was accepted from the waitlist in 2006, around 20-30 were accepted in 2007. So do the best you can, wait, and hope for the best. |

| Llefys, that gives me a lot of confidence. Looks like I may very well be sending my downpayment to Hopkins as well... I'll hope to replicate your story |

| me toooooo, My prediction...It will be a good year for waitlisted people from pretigeous Universities!! Harvard and Princeton changed their rules and the effects will ripple thru the prestigeous colleges enrollment. Columbia and Duke are already tapping into their waitlist (and it not the middle of May). |

| SpicyChipmunk, exact same situation here
I guess Brown seems to stick to the dates they tell us so anytime between May 15 and June 30..
Oh and i_wanna_be_Brown, I wrote such a similar email to my regional admission rep a few weeks ago (I didn't send a letter because I'm an international and mail takes forever to reach) but all I got was an automated response that she wouldn't able to check her email until late April. Still haven't heard from her... seems foreboding |

| I didn't heard anything yet. I think you've got the letter stating that the decision will be made in the mid May. So we've to wait...
where will you go if Brown missed you? |
