| Take the commuter rail it's like 7.50 for students. Leave from Logan on the silver line to the south station, the commuter rail leaves from there and goes to Providence. Schedules can be found on the mbta site.
As for your question - I HIGHLY doubt it. |

| You could call a taxi, but you can also walk it very easily if you don't have a lot of luggage with you. Just keep going up the hill and you'll hit Brown (I think you can also catch the bus, but I'm not too familiar with which line to take) |

| College Hill is a beast to walk up, if you are with luggage it would be worth paying a cab. Taking the bus wouldn't be worth it time wise, plus it costs for non-students of Brown. You'd have to wait for the bus to Kennedy then the bus up to the tunnel and thayer, too time consuming when $4 will get you where you need. |

| Is there some kind of an RSVP for adoch? I couldn't find anything on the site but I would imagine they have some kind of reservation if they need to know numbers staying in the freshman dorms.
I haven't received my paper acceptance yet so if it comes with that sorry for jumping the gun. |

| in the past there was an official ADOCH amtrak train--one going north, one coming south. several cars are filled with ADOCHers and you are greeted at the train station by brown a capella groups. not sure if this is happening this year |

| I think it is. In the package, they mentioned a train departing from Washington for ADOCHers only. |

| Here is how it was last year-- There is no special Amtrak train just for Brown students, but there was a train that Brown suggested students reserve a spot on. You have to reserve for Amtrak in any case. There were current Brown students who directed ADOCHers to the train and my D met a lot of kids on that train. She loved going that way (btw, she went alone from NYC, I did not go with her). The way back was not a Brown event, and there was nothing organized, so I would suggest that you check out return trains on your own. She had no trouble, though, and it worked out very well. Cab back to the train station was easy and shared with other students.
As I said, that was last year. If they are getting a train just for ADOCH this year, it will no doubt be different. |
