d is interested in Economics/Intl Rel/Public Policy. She loved Davidson, liked the interaction she had with the students and professors. Has not visited Brown or Duke but will next week. Is concerned about Brown's open curriculum but has heard it is more like Davidson than Duke, but larger therefore possibly more opportunities . Any thoughts on the differences of the 3 schools.
davidson is a great school, but obviously a small liberal arts college. brown actually has a great balance as a university-college--this yields excellent undergrad attention and more opportunities. but on the flipside, it is a larger place and you have to be ok with that.
duke is also a great school, but quite different culturally from the other two
