i can also tell you that the people who get EMSed at frat parties are usually not forced to drink that much (i.e. they drink too excess on their own volition). In fact, I'd venture that 85% of frat party EMSings come from pre-gaming too much, where the people get EMSed at the frat party without having even had a drink there.

I think one of the great things about Brown's social atmosphere is an openness to doing whatever while never really judging or pressuring anyone to join in.

there's little to no pressure to drink but it depends on your scene. I have no idea what the members of Thete are like. But you can always, you know, NOT JOIN THETE!

and as far as the EMS thing, here's where i roll my eyes and snort at at Brown. People get EMS'd here primarily because they get stranded by their friends and people don't to babysit them, but in reality, they just need to get put to bed with a trashcan at their bedside, or because someone is otherwise overreacting. OF COURSE there are exceptions where people really need it, but this has been my experience.

They are very art nerdy. Liking comics and whatnot. Some are downright out there. I saw one wearing spurs one day.

So are the parties more like awful frat parties that are called "cool" just because of slutty girls being easy..or are they more like clubbing etc. which are less animalish?

You guys sure do come up with awfully specific questions. You can't generalize all parties into one name....it's not like that. There are different scenes and you can find your own.

how much interaction do brown kids get with RISD kids on a regular basis? do people take advantage of the 2 (or is it 4?) courses at the other college provision?

matthewyy from what i've seen/heard the types of people you meet at clubs are much worse than at frat parties.
