Undergraduate Focus

Out of top national universities (ranging from JHU to HYPS to UChicago to Ivies) how does Brown compare in undergraduate focus? I tend to compare them to Princeton and Dartmouth, collectively more focused in undergraduate than other top national universities. Is that right? Does Brown really focus on undergraduate rather than graduate?

Yes, it does focus on undergraduates.

That's one of the first things and only things talked about in any of the public material.

It's one of the major themes in my Open Curriculum Explained post.

yuppers. profesors care and grad (or student) ta's you do have are really awesome.

my favorite professor once came to the annual women's rugby prom dress game, in a dress no less, and he and I judged the winners of the prom awards (i was sidelined post-broken nose surgery). i mean for serious you don't see that everywhere.

It is well known that Brown, Dartmouth, Princeton & Yale have a LAC type focus on undergraduates. Although it is worth noting that the undergraduate cultures at Dartmouth & Princeton are significantly different than Brown's campus culture.
