postcards

So, I was just wondering, if a college sends you those postcard-like notes in the mail during your junior year and summer before senior year, does that mean if you apply you have a better chance of getting in to said college? Because I received these letters from Brown, but I didn't apply, and now I'm sort of regretting it.. so I was curious.

Alright, well that's good, because I'm really regretting having not applied...

Anyways, I was also wondering, what is Brown known for mostly? Like, I love the liberal arts, but I'm very good with math, and I think I'm interested in biology... and I'm currently accepted and seriously considering Lehigh University, but yeah, I'm just curious as to what I may be missing out on as an undergrad at Brown...
